About Alatri

Alatri is a town standing on a hill in the heart of Ciociaria, in the province of Frosinone, in Latium (Central Italy).
With about thirty thousand inhabitants, Alatri is a cultural centre which boasts a historical and artistic area in the upper town and a modern verdant site in the lower part.
This town has a strategic position, which enables you to easily reach not only the neighbouring towns, but also the nearest university towna (Cassino, Rome, Naples).
Alatri is 80 km from Rome, which is well connected by public transport.
Alatri is 13 km from Frosinone, where The Academy of Fine Arts and The Conservatory of Music “Licinio Refice” are located, and 50 km from Cassino, where there is The University of Cassino and Southern Lazio. Naples is 180 km from Alatri.
Alatri is already the setting for International festivals, such as the “International Folk Festival”, which brings folk groups from all over the world to the town every summer and attracts a lot of tourists. Moreover, Alatri has been twinned with France and Greece for many years.
The IoStudioItaliano Study Centre has been established in order to enhance these interactions between different cultures, so as to make Alatri grow as an international cultural centre, always ready to welcome new students, pass on its traditions and benefit from the continuous linguistic and cultural exchange.
