The Province of Frosinone

Lago di Canterno - Provincia di Frosinone

The Province of Frosinone was born from the union of the historical regions of Ciociaria and Terra di Lavoro.

Located halfway between Naples and Rome, this province distinguishes itself for the variety of its territory: millenary towns full of art, culture and traditions; districts dating back to the pre-Roman age; medieval villages and archaeological sites.

The beauty of its landscape is incomparable, with natural parks and lush vegetation surrounded by spectacular mountains.

The area, closely linked to the glories of the Papal State, has been the scenario for some of the most important World War II battles.
